Is Your Skin on Fire??

Inflammation in the body can have a HUGE effect on the skin, it is like an internal fire that never goes out.

It can make skin sensitive and can cause you to be more susceptible to eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, cancer rosacea, and most chronic skin conditions, it can also lead to premature aging.

The health of the skin is directly related to the health of the body.

Short bouts of inflammation are a good thing, it’s the immune system protecting the body and

resolves itself quickly.

Chronic inflammation is when the immune system doesn’t resolve the problem quickly and the body keeps pumping out immune cells, leaving the body in a constant state of alert, this has a negative impact on organs and tissues, including skin tissue.

When everything in the body is working in harmony and well balanced, your skin will glow with youthfulness, but when hormones become imbalanced, gut bacteria becomes imbalanced or blood sugar issues start, inflammation occurs wreaking havoc on the health of your skin.

The key to balancing hormones, gut bacteria and blood sugar is nutrition, is about avoiding foods that cause inflammation and choosing foods that don’t. This is different for everyone.

When you eat a trigger food it’s like being exposed to a toxin, your body goes into attack mode and triggers an immune response that leads to inflammatory symptoms that can appear on your skin.

This response can be itching, red spots, bumps, flushing and the worsening of skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema.

Although, we all have different food triggers that can cause an immune response, there are certain foods that are known allergens and should be avoided. They are cow’s milk, eggs, peanuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, walnuts, pecans and almonds.

If you’ve been having any skin health issues, removing these offenders is the perfect place to start to have younger looking glowing skin.
